William G. Lawes

Comment: William G. Lawes was the son of William Lawes, who was made famous as Isaac Bawcombe in 'A Shepherd's Life' by W.H.Hudson. William was born in 1824. He married Sarah Harris and they had ten children. He died in 1909. Members of the Lawes family are believed to have lived at Bridge Cottage.
