The Loyal 'Radnor' Lodge of Oddfellows M.U. Martin held a fete in the village on July 16th 1896 which was celebrated with a Grand Demonstration and Dinner. M. Flemington was the secretary and applications were invited beforehand for 'Roundabouts, Stalls and Shooting Galleries etc' which gives some idea of the nature of the event.
