Transcription. I Charles Flemington of Portsmouth in the County of Southampton a Soldier in Her majestys service Eldest son and Heir at law of Henry Flemington my deceased father who died intestate do hereby agree to sele to William Flemington on behalf of the Trustees of the Primitive Methodist Chapel at Martin in the County of Wilts a Cottage and footway adjoining the Primitive Methodist Chapel situate at Martin aforesaid now in the possession of the said Charles Flemington at the sume of Eleven pounds. And I do hereby acknowledge to have received the said sume of Eleven pounds from the said William Flemington and I do hereby undertake and agree that I will at the request costs and charges of the said trustees execute to them the said Trustees a Conveyance or transfer of the same Cottage and footway in such manner as they may direct Dated the seventh day of May 1874 C Flemington William Flemington

This cottage, and others that stood beside it, were demolished and new houses now stand in their place alongside 'Chapel House'.
