The Flemington family is the oldest continuous family in the village. John and Alice le Flemyng came to Estmerton (East Martin) from Southampton in 1325. There they rented 31 acres of land. At times the Flemington family has been extensive in the village, this tree only follows one branch. It was given to the archive by Mary Flemington, along with the memoir of her husband, John, which can be read in this archive.
