- This poem was written to celebrate the work of Fred and Winnie Hacker who ran the village shop for over fifty years. Fred started out with a bicycle delivery, keeping his stores in a room at Packbridge Cottage. Fred continued to work well into his eighties. The poem is displayed on the wall in the Blandford Hall.
