- This sale document dates from 1921 when the monks of the monastery at Bustard Farm finally sold the property. They had all left some years earlier, having been allowed to return to France to tend the wounded during the First World War and the farm had continued to be managed by their agent.
The plan shows the extent of the monks' apple orchards, their formal garden and the tank where they bathed. It also shows the houses and cottages of East Martin.
