- This picture of the interior of the old barn at Harris Farm was drawn by Catherine, the daughter of Austin Lane Poole. Austin was the brother of Edward Lane Poole who lived at Harris Farm with his wife, Alison and daughter, Susan, from 1942 to 1959. In the barn he kept some of the African artifacts he had brought home to England after his many years living in Northern Rhodesia. Some people in the village who were at school at that time remember being brought by their teacher to see these exotic items in Mr Lane Poole's barn.
