Additional text from document reads... ...stone selected from the considerable pile of limestone and I like to think of its journey through the powerful craftsmen from Chilmark quarry; first to be raised to the glory of God; then to come out into the sun on the south face of the 20th century cottage. The new Hancock's Cottage is built to modern standards and will easily last for 200 years, probably more. The foundations are dug well into solid chalk and the walls were built and the roof finished in the summer of 1976 when no rain fell. Nick, Lory, Tessa and Ed Snelgar. Drawing by John Wilkinson
