...road and staging post for the Poole to London coach. In the attic of our house is a bricked up window looking up toward Toyd. Ken Woodvine told me that it was known as the smuggler's window, a look-out post for the coast guard whilst contraband was changing hands for gold and a night's board at the inn.
Whether it was farm or inn or lived in by the enigmatic Hyteria Bound - 'A woman of property' - I love it and Tidpit. Both are full of secrets and mysteries.
