- After the publication of W.H. Hudson's popular book 'A Shepherd's Life' in 1910, there was much speculation in the press about the identity of the village of Winterbourne Bishop. which was in fact Martin. In this article Mr Easter recalls Hudson lodging at Harris Farm while he wrote the book.
